Whistler

We left Sunpeaks early for the long drive back through Vancouver to Whistler.
Stopping on the way for morning tea and lunch. Going past the islands off Vancouver and the second biggest granite rock in the world. Gibraltar being the biggest.
When entering Whistler we were greeted by an inukshuk which is stones made in the shape of a person and signifies hope, safety and friendship. These were originally made by the early inuits and often food was found with them. Inuits are the native people of Alaska, Northern Canada and Greenland

An inukshuk. We came across many of these in British Columbia and Alberta.
