Today we left Lake Louise and travelled to the 365 metre thick Columbia Icefields. There we hopped on a bus that took us up the mountain to the big bus with huge tractor wheels and continued up to the icefield. The glacier was very slippery and you had to walk very carefully to avoid the big puddles of melted ice. These were ankle deep.
