BARI

Port of BARI. Italy. We went for a walk around the streets of the old part. Had a look at  the eleventh century Romanesque Basilica di San Nicolas or the church of Saint Nicholas...yep Santa Clause...It was built to house his remains which still lie in the crypt.  Some pretty impressive work in there. Walking further up the road we came to the Norman-Swabian castle built in 1156, destroyed and rebuilt by Frederico ll in 1233.(obviously someone important)  Come back to our room after  a lovely but verry filling dinner to find pj's laid out ready for bed... Thanks Hadjit  for our wonderful room service.
