On the train from Kozana to Venice ........a 2 hour comfortable ride. With our clever guide Alta's help we found our way to our accommodation. 5th floor apartment overlooking a canal. We checked out the island of Murano which is famous for its glass blowing. On our way we thought we would have to swim to shore as our boat collided with taxi boat. Stupid taxi driver on his phone not watching where he was going. Luckily no damage to our boat but a nasty hole in taxi... Leaving Murano we hopped on the ferry again and visited the island of Burano where I was chatting to a lady in a lace store about making bobbin lace when she asked me to follow her upstairs. There was a lady making needle lace customary to Burano. Finished off the evening with dinner on our rooftop and a stroll into San Marco square and a coffee with a couple of bands playing non stop music.
